Tough Week in Chicago
After losing Havlat for at least a couple weeks with an ankle injury, the Hawks have lost Michael Handzus for the year with an ACL tear. As well, starting goalie Nikolai Khabibulin will be out a minimum of 10 days with a broken finger. Suddenly after a promising start to the season the Hawks may be looking at another season at or near the bottom of the West, which won't be good for their already poor attendance figures. This team simply isn't deep enough to recover from these injuries to their key players, especially if Havlat ends up missing much more than 2 weeks.
