Minnesota continued their shocking start, knocking off the Sharks in San Jose by a 4-1 score. The Wild are now 7-1 and tied with Dallas for first in the West.
Wild start Marian Gaborik missed the game with a groin injury which has to be a concern after he missed 17 games last year with groin/abdominal injuries. Gaborik will return to Minnesota to be evaluated by team doctors but at least for one night they were able to pick up the slack in his absence.
Nabokov gave up two soft goals for the Sharks and this may be all it takes to start questioning the goalie rotation if Toskala has a good outing in his next start. Joe Thornton is still looking for goal #1 on the year.
