The First Time
In his first NHL game, Dallas goalie Mike Smith stopped all 22 shots he faced for the shutout, bringing the Stars' record to 7-1. The Stars got goals from Ribeiro, Modano, Boucher and Sydor while the Coyotes continued to struggle, dropping their 6th in eight contests.
